Crimson Desert System Requirements: Full PC Specs Before Launch
Can your rig handle Pearl Abyss's massive new RPG? We break down the official Crimson Desert system requirements and PC specs you need to know before launch day.
With Crimson Desert officially launching tomorrow, PC gamers are frantically checking their rigs to see if they can handle Pearl Abyss’s incredibly ambitious new RPG. Built on the studio’s in house BlackSpace Engine, the game boasts some of the most stunning physics and lighting effects we have seen this generation.
But all of that eye candy comes at a cost. If you are preparing to jump in as Kliff this week, here are the official Crimson Desert PC requirements you need to know about.
Minimum Crimson Desert System Requirements
If you are still rocking an older rig, you will be happy to know that the barrier to entry is surprisingly forgiving for 1080p gaming at lower graphical settings.
To just get the game running, you will need:
- OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
- Processor (CPU): Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 1600
- Memory (RAM): 16 GB RAM
- Graphics (GPU): NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 (6GB) or AMD Radeon RX 580
- Storage: 150 GB available space (SSD highly recommended)
Recommended Crimson Desert PC Requirements
To truly experience the chaotic, physics-based combat and the massive open world of Pywel the way the developers intended (1440p at 60fps), you are going to need some serious hardware.
Pearl Abyss recommends the following:
- OS: Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit)
- Processor (CPU): Intel Core i7-10700K or AMD Ryzen 7 5800X
- Memory (RAM): 32 GB RAM
- Graphics (GPU): NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT
- Storage: 150 GB available space (NVMe SSD required)

The Unspoken Requirement: You Do Need an SSD
While the minimum specs say an SSD is “recommended,” do not try to install this game on an old hard drive. Previews have shown that the game features zero loading screens when moving through the massive open world. If you use an HDD, you will experience massive stuttering and texture pop-in as the engine struggles to load assets fast enough.
