How to get pets in Crimson Desert

A lot more than just a faithful friend

Having a pet in Crimson Desert does a lot more than just give you a furry travel companion. Pets are incredibly useful because they automatically pick up dropped loot from defeated enemies, chests, and even gather nifty items like Ore.

One of the earliest places to find stray animals is wandering the streets of Hernand. Here is exactly how to get pets in Crimson Desert and find yourself a new furry friend.

Building Trust

To adopt a pet, you must reach a trust level of 100 with a wild or stray animal.

  • Petting: Walk up and interact with the animal when prompted to pet it. When your trust successfully increases, you will see a small notification pop up on the left side of your screen.
  • The Daily Limit: You can only pet a specific animal five times per day. After hitting this limit, you must wait until the next day before you can pet them again.
  • Speeding it up: If you want to increase trust faster, feeding the animal raw food will speed up the process.

Adopting Your Pet

Once you successfully repeatedly interact with the animal and reach trust level 100, simply use the indicated on-screen prompt to officially adopt them and make them yours.
