Now that WARDOGS has finally released on Steam into Early Access, let’s talk money. Unlike traditional arcade shooters that most people are used to, WARDOGS runs on a personal wallet economy. Every rifle, magazine, helmet, piece of body armor, and tactical gear item must be purchased with in-game cash. If you run out of funds, you are forced onto basic budget loadouts.
Whether you are saving up for tanks, heavy armor, or attack helicopters, here are the fastest methods to farm cash in WARDOGS without risking your hard-earned gear.
Spot Enemies with Binoculars (Lowest Risk, Fast Payouts)
The safest and most reliable way to make early-game money is by acting as your team’s recon spotter:
- Cost: Purchase a pair of basic Binoculars for $75.
- Method: Find a high vantage point overlooking an active combat zone, hot zone, or enemy Forward Operating Base (FOB). Prone on a hill and hold left-click over enemy soldiers, vehicles, and structures to mark them.
- Earnings: You earn direct cash for every target successfully tagged, plus substantial assist payouts whenever a teammate eliminates a target you spotted.
Build FOBs and Structures (Up to $1,500 Per Build)
Engineering work is one of the highest-paying roles in WARDOGS and requires minimal combat engagement:
- Method: Grab a hammer and buy a FOB module. Ask a helicopter pilot to drop FOB supplies at a strategic tower near your squad’s objective.
- Building: Place the FOB module and swing your hammer to construct perimeter walls, gates, and Hesco barriers. Aiming for the yellow “X” indicators speeds up construction time.
- Earnings: Every productive hammer swing grants instant cash, with completed structures awarding between $1,200 and $1,500 upon completion.
Play Medic and Farm Revives ($900 Per Revive)
If you want to stay near frontline combat while maintaining a high payout rate, focus on playing a support medic:
- Equipment: Equipping cheap, single-use resuscitators allows you to revive downed teammates in seconds. Once you reach Medic Level 11, upgrade to the Defibrillator ($1,600), which provides 5 revives per battery.
- Method: Stack a large backpack with resuscitators and bandages. Stay behind front-line assault troops and revive allies immediately as they fall.
- Earnings: Each teammate revive pays $900, plus extra assist cash if that teammate goes on to secure kills. Healing injured allies with bandages awards $200 per use.
Drive the Spawn APC to Active Zones
Vehicular logistics reward drivers with passive royalties throughout the match:
- Method: Take control of your team’s main Spawn APC (identifiable by the satellite dish on top) at HQ. Drive it near an active Hot Zone or FOB, then park it in a secure cover position. You can even hide the APC under one of the towers to avoid it being hit by mortars.
- Earnings: Every time a teammate uses your deployed APC as a spawn point, you receive automatic spawn royalties directly into your bank account, talk about passive income right?
Provide Helicopter Transport Services
If you enjoy flying, operating an air taxi provides a steady revenue stream:
- Method: Practice flying in the Firing Range first to avoid costly crashes. Once confident, pilot transport helicopters to ferry teammates from HQ directly to active objective zones.
- Earnings: You earn flat cash rewards for dropping allies inside active zones, squad tips, and assist bonuses when those transported players secure objectives or kills.
Hold the Hot Zone for Passive Cash
Simply remaining alive inside an active Hot Zone generates a continuous passive income:
- Method: Enter the active sector and take up defensive positions inside the objective boundary.
- Earnings: The game pays out passive cash bonuses every minute you remain inside the Hot Zone, stacked on top of normal kill and capture rewards.
